This is a blog to update friends about James Daniels. On December 18, 2007, James went in for routine back surgery. Tragically, a major vein was torn and the doctors spent seven hours trying to stop the hemorrhaging and save his life. During this process, they had to stop the blood flow to and from his left leg which led to major tissue damage that ultimately led to amputation of his left leg.

Just so that everyone knows...success in rehabilitation will mean a lot to James. For example, right now he can't sit up to even look out his window. He can't get into the wheelchair. He can't even be tested for eyesight and fitted for glasses, which he needs to see across his own room. He is tired of being laid out and in this condition. Please seek the Lord that James will make steady progress so that he can again enjoy the simple things that we all take for granted. We know that James can do it because he has heart and is trusting in the Lord. And all of us, his friends, are pulling for him!
Dear James:
You are an encouragement to Eric and I. You may remember us from the CC parking lot, you came aboard our RV and were very kind to us.
We have kept up with your progress and have prayed, prayed, and prayed for both you and Kathy. It is such a great thing to have answered prayer!
Please be patient with your eyesight..it will come back better when the medications are decreased later. Sometimes, glasses don't help if that is the reason. Keep focusing your eyes on Him until then. Love, Eric & Jennifer
